Opening/Closing date/time:
• Competition opens at http://itv.mobi/xfactor (“WAP Portal”) and online on 3 October 2009
• Competition closes via WAP Portal on 6 December 2009 at 23:59. Entries made after closing will not be entered into the competition but may be charged
• Entry via www.itv.com (“Website”) is open for at least 3 working days after the lines have closed.
Method and cost of entry:
• WAP Portal: Eligible entrants click on the link to this competition on the WAP Portal and follow instructions and answer the question. The winner will be identified by the mobile number used. Up to ten entries per number. Each entry via the WAP Portal costs £1. Mobile operators may charge for using the mobile internet tools. Entrants should contact their operator for more details. Charges may vary. Cost of entry will appear on the bill of the mobile phone used or will be deducted from funds for pay-as-you-go users. Entrants must have permission of the bill payer to enter
• Online: Go to the Website and follow instructions and answer the question. Up to ten entries per number. No charge for entries via Website
Entrants who answer the question and complete the entry requirements will be entered into a prize draw. No entry via any other method. Entries on behalf of another person are void. Entries over the maximum number, or made or received after closing or which are incomplete, misspelt or not received are void and will not be entered into the competition but may still be charged
Competition draw date: Within 24 hours of the closing date and time
Prize: First correct entry drawn at random from all eligible entries will win. The prize is 2 tickets to the X Factor Final at Fountain Studios on 12 December 2009. Prize is subject to terms and conditions of the prize provider. The winner and their companion must be available to take up the prize. Prize is subject to availability and restrictions including but not limited to programme scheduling and other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and/or prize provider. The winner must follow instructions given by the Promoter and/or prize provider to take up the prize. The Promoter reserves the right to amend any element of the prize for reasons beyond their reasonable control. The prize is non-changeable, non-transferable and non-upgradeable. No cash equivalent or alternative prize. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any costs, liabilities, damages or losses or for medical conditions aggravated or incurred by the winner and/or their companions in taking up the prize. The prize excludes all other costs including but not limited to accommodation, travel and incidental costs, phone calls, souvenirs, taxes and insurance. Other restrictions may apply. Winner must be 18 or over at the time of entering the competition and their companion must be 16 or over. The winner and their companion may need to provide proof of age and eligibility. The winner may be required to participate in publicity.
Promoter will not amend contact information provided once entry to the prize draw has been made. The Promoter will use all reasonable endeavours to notify the winner on the draw date on the daytime phone number provided, calling 3 times in a 2 hour daytime period. If successful contact is not made, or they fail to meet eligibility requirements as set out in the general competition terms and conditions, and elsewhere as applicable, or are otherwise unable to comply with these terms and conditions and take up the prize, this may result in forfeiture of the prize. Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next entrant drawn at random from all eligible entries and thereafter until a winner is found.
